Branch Manager Job Vacancy Timmins Ontario

Sgi Search Group open new job vacancy in Ontario area. We are currently recruiting for a:
Branch Manager
Timmins, Ontario
Location: White horse & Timmins, Ontario

Reports to: Regional Director
General Accountability: This position is responsible for the overall management of the branch and personnel for The Company sample preparation facility in Timmins, Ontario


Specific Responsibilities:
Operational
  1. Responsible for managing the sample preparation lab in Timmins including but not limited to:
  2. Production levels;
  3. Ensure accurate and timely data entry and work order write up;
  4. Coordinate the logistics of sample pickup;
  5. Ensure all quality control procedures are being followed;
  6. Perform monthly production and safety meeting;
  7. Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance as well maintain the equipment logs;
  8. Communicate and enforce The Company, health and environment policies

Financial:
  1. Ensure all financial targets are met and/or exceeded including: ROS, EBIT, Net Revenues and TEC;
  2. Oversee and monitor costs and production levels tensure that business stays within budget.

Personnel:
  1. In conjunction with our Human Resources team you will be involved in employee interviews, recruiting and training staff as required;
  2. Schedule shifts and manages time keeping for staff;
  3. Prepares and delivers performance reviews, actively manages staff including addressing performance issues as per The Company policies;
  4. Maintains employee files;
  5. Communicates and enforces The Company employment policies and procedures;
  6. Communicates and enforces The Company safety, health and environment policies.

Quality Assurance
  1. Responsible for resolving quality issues;
  2. Maintains all quality documentation and records;
  3. Ensures all routine quality issues in conjunction with the QA Department;
  4. Participates in and follows-up on quality audits.

  5. Understanding of production SOP’s;

  9. Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral, ability tcommunicate in French an asset;

Required Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 3 years of Management and/or Supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing type facility; i.e. Manufacturing, Production Facilities, Health, Plant, Geochemistry Labs.
  2. Post Secondary Education (Diploma or Degree in Geological or Chemical Sciences preferred);
  3. Previous experience in the Mining industry, Minerals analysis, geology industries preferred;
  4. Excellent computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel;
  5. Previous experience in laboratory or geological preparation facility as asset
Physical Demands:
  1. Ability tregularly lift 10-20 pounds;
  2. Ability tstand for up teight hours in a day;
  3. Ability twork in dusty environment;
  4. Ability tTravel on occasion for training and other business related activities
